You’ve never been in Bohol if you haven’t seen the coral reef of Balicasag.

Bohol sea tour takes place in Panglao Island. You can find a place to stay in this island so that when you wake up in the morning, you can just walk to the shore and start your sea tour there. There are lots of resorts in Panglao Island and finding affordable accomodation is easy.

Bohol sea tour includes dolphin watching at dawn, snorkeling in Balicasag Island, and swimming and taking jump shots in Virgin Island. We weren’t able to see some dolphins during our stay so that is a reason for us to come back someday.

When snorkeling in Balicasag Island, be sure have your snorkel gear with you.  At the very least, you will need a snorkel, snorkel mask, and snorkel shoes so that you can have a view of the coral reef. Snorkeling in this island is like swimming in a giant aquarium filled with different kinds of fish, starfish, and sea urchins. You need those snorkel shoes to avoid getting hurt it case you have a close encounter with a sea urchin.

After snorkeling, go to Virgin Island and take a plunge in its cool and refreshing water. Since this island is filled with seaweeds, be careful not to step on any sea urchins hiding there. Instead of stepping on them why not try eating one? :)

Be sure to eat breakfast or bring some snacks for the sea tour. Bring also some crackers to feed the fishes. After the sea tour, you can have lunch along the beach. There are lots of restaurants on the beachfront that offer different seafoods. You can request them to cook it just the way you like it. You can have dinner there too because the beachfront comes more to life during the night.

Suggestion: bring an underwater camera to have awesome underwater shots of the coral reefs, fishes, and if your lucky, giant turtles. =D
