Stroll in UP Diliman – The Chocolate Kiss Cafe

Duration : 1-2 hours

Budget : Php300 for Chockiss cake and pasta

Bummers : Attack of the killer tomatoes in their pastas

When around UP Diliman, do not miss the cakes (and pastas) at The Chocolate Kiss Cafe…

I have always wanted to visit The Chocolate Kiss Cafe since I have known about it. Yet, due to time constraint (which means my previous 7AM-10PM work), I wasn’t able to visit it until today. It was a treat after helping a good friend register for her masters courses. Unlucky for her, they weren’t able to entertain her today. :(

What to Order? What to Order?

What to Order? What to Order?

I have received lots of cakes from this cafe before but I have yet to see the place for myself. My favorite was the Devil’s Food Cake. So, during this first visit, I ordered it. I have heard they serve great pasta too and I so I gave it a try. I ordered the Hungarian Sausage and Penne because I love hotdogs. For me, hotdogs and sausages are equals.

The Hungarian Sausage and Penne pasta had a kick of spiciness which is perfect for my palate. It is a tomato-based pasta which I am not actually a fan of. But I was amused by this dish, I finished it within a couple of minutes. And even if I didn’t like eating whole tomatoes and large slices of bell peppers, this dish tricked me. I cleaned my plate to the last piece. I wonder if other dishes taste as awesome as this one too. This gives me reason to come back. And the goal is, always return to this cafe until I have ordered everything on the menu. Who wants to join me? :D

My friend only had coffee. She got a cup of Cappuccino and she forced me to give her a slice of my Devil’s food cake. Since I am awesome, I gave her some. :)

Nice one keyce! Your blog is amusing. Galing! Hehe. Nakavisit na din ako dito sa Chocolate Kiss sa UP, nung centennial nila, we ordered steak, salpicao, etc, pang heavy dinner, :) . Ok naman. Actually we ordered iced tea din na honey ang sweetener but my friend said that it wasn’t really honey but sugar syrup–that I can’t really confirm kasi parang pareho lang lasa. :)
Anyway, keep the posts coming. :) Very informative ang mga posts, akalain mong taga tarlac ako but I’ve never been to Isdaan. But I might visit in the very near future! :)
