Creamy cakes are no secret at Secret Recipe…
Secret Recipe is popular for it’s delectable cheesecakes and cream cakes. What most people don’t know is that they also serve main dishes ranging from pastas to classic Asian cuisines. One weekend, we had lunch there and tried out if their food is any good.
We ordered the Beef Spaghetti Meatballs, Grilled Black Pepper Chicken, and Pan-Grilled Dory with Lobster Sauce.
Their beef spaghetti meatballs tasted like home-cooked spaghetti. I was not sure if I’d be happy about that or not because it tasted like the one I can cook at home so I wasn’t so surprised of the taste.
Their grilled black pepper chicken was average. The presentation made it look like a slice of pork chop. lol.
I had the pan-grilled dory was also just average but the fries that came with it were outstanding. The fish was cooked to perfection but the sauce didn’t taste so much as I expected a lobster sauce to be. The fries were crunchy on the outside but are soft in the inside.
After lunch, we ordered for some desserts. We shared a slice of Chocolate Banana and Chocolate Indulgence. Their cakes were soft and creamy as I expected.
Overall, the main dishes served at Secret Recipe are average but their cakes are remarkable. Yet, the small servings of their cake made me feel a little unsatisfied at first. Maybe, order two slices when you go here.
