Caught me by surprised, I never expected Gino’s can serve me the thin crust pizza that I will never forget..
Gino’s Brick Oven Pizza is this new thin crust pizza place along Katipunan Road in Quezon City. Gino’s opened around December 2010 and it has immediately captured the hearts of pizza lovers, even those who prefer thick crust like me. Just like it’s sister company which is a doughnut store, Cello’s, their products provide a distinct taste that is memorable and can be easily distinguished from others. Maybe this is that special factor why both stores are loved by many. I think, even with my eyes closed, I can set apart which is from Gino’s and which is not by tasting it.
Thanks to some CashCashPinoy coupons, we were able to dine at Gino’s pizza and enjoy 50% discount for every Php400 worth of food.
On that dinner, I was able to try three out of the six pizzas available at Gino’s. We ordered the Bianca Verde, Four Cheese, and Buffalo Chicken.
Bianca Verde is a thin crust pizza whose toppings include kesong puti (white cheese), parmesan, ricotta, arugula, and basil. This is the perfect pizza for vegetarians and for people who are health buffs. It’s good to know that Gino’s manufacture their own kesong puti and actually, it tasted creamier and less salty compared to the ones I had in Laguna.
Four Cheese is Gino’s special blend of mozzarella, parmesan, ricotta, and blue cheese-topped pizza. I guess they tried to achieve a more Filipino-like taste because the combination of these four cheeses were less powerful compared to the Four Cheese pizza I had in some Italian restos in the metro like Belinni’s.
Buffalo Chicken is for people who have a spot for spicy food. This pizza is topped with tasty Buffalo Chicken bits, blue cheese, and mozzarella.
I commend Gino’s for their cool and environment-friendly takeout packaging. Thumbs up!
Since Cello’s is just beside Gino’s, we got a box of mini doughnuts for dessert.
Spread some awesome..ness.. ![]()
