Eat with your bare hand at Kamayan sa Palaisdaan..
Kamayan sa Palaisdaan is a cozy restaurant that serves authentic Filipino cuisine. It is a place I never miss to visit whenever I get the chance to go back to Laguna because of their fresh, delicious, and reasonably-priced dishes. Kamayan sa Palaisdaan is easy to locate because it is situated along Bay National Highway, a few minutes from Los Baños, Laguna.
Staying in Manila and battling a hectic schedule, it is inevitable to eat fastfood or take out food most of the time. If you have the time off and want to get closer to nature by visiting Mt. Makiling, make sure that you drop by Kamayan sa Palaisdaan as well. Their food is not only good on your palate but it’s also healthier compared to all the fastfood and take out food you have eaten.
From the menu, I highly recommend that you try their Sinugno and Crispy Pata. Sinugno is a dish where a fish like tilapia is grilled first and then cooked in coconut milk. Mustard greens are added prior to serving.
Crispy pata is pork knuckles deep fried to perfection.
We also tried calamares (also known as calamari). However, I was quite disappointed of its small serving.
Their drinks are also truly refreshing. We tried the Fresh Buko Juice, Green Mango Shake, and Ripe Mango Shake. The Fresh Buko was served from its shell while the shakes were made from freshly blended mangoes.
Relaxing ambiance and good food, you can find it here at Kamayan sa Palaisdaan.
