Today, I had the opportunity to visit this viral cafe in Cainta, Rizal – Meidolls Cafe. Due to the high number of good reviews I find for it in the internet and from various features I have watched about it on the television, I kind’a expected something very big from this cafe. Maybe reading a lot about it made me now feel as if it was a little overrated. I am not saying that it is not a good cafe, I am just saying that it has a lot improve. On the other hand, I believe its concept is very intriguing and with some minor tweaking, it can certainly increase its customer market share.

When me and my friends came into the place, I noticed that majority of Meidolls’ customers are guys. Probably because of the soooo cute Meidolls who will be serving your food and calling you master the entire time you are there. Moreover, they also add their special ingredient every time they serve something in your table. “Power up! Moe Moe Kyun!”

Upon entering the cafe, it was almost full and we occupied a spot by the door. Our spot was a little hot probably because we were very far the A/C unit. Good thing, a table was made available after a few minutes. We requested if we can move to the other table and they gladly led us to the other table. This time, this spot is way cooler, literally.

We ordered the Meidoll Fishkatsu with Rice, Meidoll Omurice, and Banana Split. For our beverage, we got the Chokoretto Frappe, Chocolate Truffle, and Banana Mango Smoothie. I recommend you get the Banana Mango Smoothie because the Meidolls will surprise you with a cute dance number.

Meidoll Omurice is a rice-filled omelet. The rice inside it is not plain rice but a special fried rice with bits of chicken and peas made only by Meidolls Cafe.

The cheese ice cream is perfect to be placed in between the sliced banana. Meidolls Cafe’s Banana Split was awesome.

The  Chokoretto Frappe and Chocolate Truffle are chocolatey-treat for people with a sweet tooth. If you prefer something cold, get the Chokoretto. But if you want something hot, the Chocolate Truffle is the one for you.

I was about to give it a rating of 3 because of the ambiance and sometimes our Meidoll performs a little less better than expected. Also, it took quite a while before they served our Banana Split and before they gave us our bill. With such ambiance, my patience was dwindling quickly. But since the concept is very interesting, I gave another point for that. I will give it about a few months before I will return to this place but I definitely will. I hope they would level up some more.
