Tondol Beach in Anda, Pangasinan
Duration: overnight
Budget: ~Php1,500
Bummers: a few sea urchins and jellyfish
Sandwiched between Alaminos and Bolinao, Anda’s Tondol Beach is a beauty that is yet to be explored.
Tondol Beach is the flagship resort of Anda in Pangasinan. Since this town is located between Alaminos (where the Hundred Islands are) and Bolinao, you can expect that it is a home to unexplored beaches such as Tondol. This undiscovered paradise is one of the cheapest beaches that I have visited. I would never forget that the entrance fee to this resort is only Php5 per person and the large cottage which can cater up to 10 people just costs Php250. I didn’t think something amazing can be worth Php5 only.
Going to Anda from Manila is relatively easy. There are buses that travel directly to this place. I think Victory Liner, Five Star, and Dagupan Bus cater to passengers going to this place.
Fortunately, we had relatives in Anda so we did not have a hard time going around the place. Moreover, aside from the opportunity to see the beach, I would never forget the food that they served us – fresh seafood.
Look at those fish eggs.
That fish when cooked has green fish bones too.
I also experienced eating fresh seaweeds which they call Ar-Arosep. Believe it or not, it tastes good when you dip it in ketchup.
We also caught a sea urchin and ate it fresh from the sea.
While swimming, we got this shells. The locals said there are lots of these shells in Tondol that sometimes they become pests to fishermen. When these shells grow, they can be cooked and eaten. Mmmm.
Of course, what is a beach trip without a jump shot? We left Tondol Beach with my brothers exchanging flying kicks.
Going home, we got a little unlucky because our boat acted up while in the middle of the sea. The motor stopped and it wouldn’t start. For an hour, we were like helpless sitting ducks out in the open water. Good thing there were nice people who towed our boat ashore before it got dark.
We were scared the entire time but the mood changed when we saw the sun setting. It was priceless and we became hopeful of returning to the shore safe.
I want to have more escapades in virgin and non-commercialized locations such as Tondol. Better make those schedules immediately.
Spread some awesome..ness..

I’ve always wanted to get to Tondol. I hope I’ll push through sometime this year.
You should. It’s a cheap place where you can relax in its silent sanctuary.
how much are the room rates?
Unfortunately, we did not stay overnight in Tondol Beach.
We stayed at the Andanian Hotel which is located in the “bayan” area of Anda.
Our room was Php1050 for a night for 5 people.
Thanks for posting !!!!!!!!!!
I have read some excellent stuff here. Certainly worth bookmarking for revisiting. I surprise how much effort you put to make any such fantastic informative site.

@rex
Hi Rex! Unfortunately we didn’t in a resort because I have a cousin who lives nearby. Regarding the entrance fee, if I remember it correctly it was just around Php10 per person. The cottage, I think it is Php50 or 100. With those prices, I bet it is easy to find an inexpensive resort.
Hi! My family and I are planning to visit Tondol, Anda this week and enjoy its white sand. May I know which area you went to? I appreciate the help as this will be our first time to go to this place. Thanks so much in advance!
