We hope you don’t mind us sharing a little history of Palaisdaan Restaurant that your followers might want to know. This establishment has been in existence for almost 19 years now which started just in a small bamboo hut by the fishpond situated exactly where it is now. Tending the fish pond was just a hobby for the husband and wife owners where they spent most of their time in. They managed to raise good quality of hito and tilapia and decided to sell them to their friends and some passersby. Since the wife was a good cook, every time people would buy, they oftentimes asked her to cook it for them also. Some even requested if they could already dine in there. Many liked her concoction and they kept on coming back. Because of this, the couple decided to run it as an enterprise naming it Palaisdaan Restaurant and the rest is history.

Great success story. Is Sinugno originally theirs?

We believe so because the word “sinunog” meaning something burned is where the dish Sinugno is derived from. That’s how we say it in Quezon as the tilapia is grilled first before it’s simmered in ginata/gata (cocomilk).Ü
