Soul searching at Kamay ni Hesus Ascending Grotto in Lucban, Quezon..
Kamay ni Hesus Ministry Foundation Inc. is the brainchild of Rev. Fr. Joey Ayala Faller. According to our tour guide, the creation of this ministry alongside the construction of massive structures in this area came to Father Joey after he experienced a car accident that ended up him into having an ulnar nerve entrapment. This condition disabled him from moving his pinky and index fingers such that when you look at it, it resembles that hand of Jesus. Thus, the name of the ministry.
Kamay ni Hesus Ministry Foundation Inc. sits at the foot of Mt. Banahaw. You get a good view of this sacred mountain as you go up the grotto.
If you want to reflect, soul-search, or simply pray through the giant stations of the cross, I recommend that you take a vigil up Kamay ni Hesus Grotto. If you decide to walk up the grotto, DON”T wear shorts and sleeveless shirts because these are not allowed in the grotto. I suggest that wear something that you would wear when you go to church and attend a Holy Mass. Keep in mind that the grotto is considered a sacred place that is why wearing of proper attire is a must.
The Eden Falls is at the entrance of the walk up the grotto.
Here are some snapshots of the walk up to the Kamay ni Hesus Grotto.
When you reach the top, you get near the giant shrine of Jesus.
When you look at the other side, you will be able to see a magnificent few from the top.
The newest scenery at Kamay ni Hesus is the recently built Noah’s Ark.
Kamay ni Hesus is a great place to go to if you simply want to pray and reflect about life. The atmosphere in this area touches the spirituality of every individual. Lots of devotees come to this place during the Lenten Season and Pahiyas Festival.
Trivia: At the top of the hill, you can see the statue of the 60-foot tall Risen Jesus Christ. According to reliable sources, it is the 3rd tallest statue of Jesus Christ in the world. The tallest is in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (150-foot tall) and the second is in Bolivia (70-foot tall).
Spread some awesome..ness..

I was here too. Nagkaubusan ng longganisa! >.<
We weren’t able to buy too.
Your “reliable sources” aren’t very reliable… I dunno how many times do I have to correct that false claim.
Anyway, these are the height of the many statue of Jesus scattered all over the world. (height of the statue only – source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_statues_by_height)
Poland (2010) – 120 feet
Bolivia – 112 feet
Indonesia (2007) – 98.5 feet
Mexico – 98.5 feet
Brazil (Rio) – 98.5 feet
Spain – 98.5 feet
Portugal – 92 feet
Vietnam – 92 feet
Timor-Leste – 88.6 feet
Colombia – 85 feet
Mexico (again) – 82 feet
France – 82 feet
Peru – 82 feet
Mexico (yet again) – 76 feet
Mexico (these Mexicans sure have a lot of statues of Jesus) – 75 feet
Argentina – 75 feet
Mexico (yet another one) – 75 feet
Well, you get the point… there’s no way that 50-foot tall statue of Jesus is the 3rd tallest statue of Jesus in the world, it’s actually the smallest statue of Jesus on that list.
