Good Tea Good Time at Chatime..

Chatime

Chatime is another newly opened milk tea shop in the metro. Chatime originated from Taiwan and it has opened its first branch last February which is in perfect timing because of the increasing number of milk tea shops opening in the metro. Compared to the first milk tea shops that I have reviewed, Chatime is different especially in terms of the number of variety it offers. Chatime gives its customers up to 70 different choices of milk tea, green tea, smoothie, coffee, special mix, healthy juice, and mousse.

The location of Chatime in Robinsons Galleria is a bit small but they tried to make it appear as cozy as possible. It is a high traffic location so I guess during weekdays, a lot of customers line up to get their fix of Chatime.

I was already quite full but I had to make room to have a taste of Chatime. As I promised to try to review different milk tea shops one tea cup at a time, I was not disappointed to try it out.

A Pair of Chatime

I had a taste of two of Chatime’s bestsellers, the Pearl Milk Tea and the Red Bean Milk Tea.

The Pearl Milk Tea (Php90-large) is one of the simplest concoction of milk tea. It contained a milk tea base and pieces of pearls or tapioca are added to make the drink a bit interesting. Chatime’s pearls are chewy and the milk tea base is so good. I can taste the hint of the tea but the creaminess overpowers it that I did not mind a lot about the tea taste.

The Red Bean Milk Tea (Php100-large) has the same base as Pearl Milk Tea. However, aside from pearls, red beans are added. The red beans have the right sweetness which perfect for this healthy drink.

There are a lot more choices that I have to try at Chatime. Maybe I have to try them all and find out the top 10 flavors to make it easier to choose the perfect tea blend.

Chatime is located at Robinsons Galleria beside Robinsons Supermarket and across National Bookstore.
