Happy Lemon in Eastwood Mall

I finally had the chance to try Happy Lemon at its second branch in Eastwood Mall. Me and a couple of friends tested out what this Happy Lemon craze is all about. As expected, this newly opened milk tea place is packed with lots customers lined up to get their fix of milk tea infusion or other cool beverage innovation to make them “happy everyday”. It is true that “build it and they will come” because since this shop opened, this area of the mall has never been without customers.

Happy Lemon has a mantra of “Happy Everyday”. On the play of words, I think it is telling people to buy “happy lemon everyday”. :)

Not only awesome people are lining up for Happy Lemon. Since Eastwood Mall is pet-friendly, even cute dogstumers line up.

The Cocoa with Rock Salt and Cheese (Large – Php100) has been creating a buzz in Happy Lemon. So this is the drink that I tried out. The combination of a cocoa base, and rock salt and cheese on top was divine. You should drink it directly from the cup and not use a straw so that these 3 key ingredients will mix up as you drink up. The cocoa base kind’a tasted like Sustagen though. Very nostalgic. :)

The Caramel Tea Latte with Brown Sugar Jelly with 25% Sweetness ( Large – Php95) is a difficult drink to order. Lol. We became the bottleneck of the line because it took us quite a while to get it right. ;) This drink is good because it had the right tea taste and the right sweetness.

The Cocoa Tea Latte with Brown Sugar Jelly ( Large – Php95) is a little overwhelming for me. It tasted too tea-like so I might not be getting it again. But for people who really like tea, this is a great drink.

I will try out other rock salt blends and their specialty drinks when I get back. I’ll keep you posted. ;)

Update (05/31/2011):

A friend recommended Lemon Yakult (Large – Php100) so I tried it out. Drinking it made me feel nostalgic because I remembered when I was a kid drinking small containers of Yakult. Now, people who are looking for large servings of Yakult can get it from Happy Lemon.

I also had the chance to try the Green Tea with Rock Salt and Cheese (Large-Php95). It was cheesy and creamy with a green tea scent when you drink it. It is as good as the Cocoa with Rock Salt and Cheese that I really love.
