Home of the Slabwich!
Chuck’s Deli recently opened its Eastwood branch and upon hearing about it, I immediately decided to try it out. I heard a lot of good stuff about Chuck’s Deli even from celebrities which has made it more intriguing for me. The good stuff I heard about are true because Chuck’s Deli transformed these good stuff to really good slabwiches. A slabwich, according to Chuck’s Deli’s dictionary, is a signature super sandwich filled half a kilo of goodness. Goodness means meat, veggies, and special dressing.
To quench our thirst, we ordered the Arce Dairy Milkshakes (Php165 each) first. The four of us got different flavors – Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, and Quezo Real. Yeah, they are expensive but I recommend you try them even once. Their creamy goodness will make you feel like going to heaven and back.
Then, we ordered one slabwich bestseller and one subwich bestseller. We asked them to cut them into four so we can try them both.
For the slabwich, we got The Pilgrim (Php445). This is like Thanksgiving in a slabwich. It is a super ciabatta that contains dark or white roast turkey meat, stuffing, cranberry jelly, and gravy. It’s meaty and sweet taste is something to be thankful for.
For the subwich, we got the Philly Cheese Steak (Php295). It is a giant sub that contains beef, American cheese, onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms.
I would definitely go back here with an empty stomach so I can eat one whole slabwich or subwich. By that time, I might even have the courage to try the Chuck’s Challenge: Slay the Buffy!
Spread some awesome..ness..

When I ate the Philly Cheese Steak, I died. ^___^
I love the Philly Cheese Steak too. It was messy to eat it but in a good way!
