Fredz Sutukil in Mactan, Cebu
Budget : ~Php300-400 per person
Duration : ~1-2 hours
Bummers : small tummy to fill in with food, allergies on seafood
Nomnom Rating : 5/5
We were so hungry when we landed in Cebu so we started the city tour eating lunch at a Sutukil restaurant. Sutukil is popular in Cebu and Fredz Sutukil is the resto that we checked out.
Sutukil is having to order one large fish (in our case, we got a large parrot fish) for Php480, dividing it into three, and cooking it into three dishes – Sugba (grilled), Tula (soup-based dish with seaweeds but resembling tinola), and Kilawin (raw fish cubed and marinated in vinegar or Calamansi juice). Their Sutukil resto has a dampa-style way of dining. You buy everything fresh and ask them to cook it for Php80 per dish.
I am a sucker for seafood so we ordered more. We got Chili Garlic Shrimps and Calamares. We had two giant servings of rice at Php60 each that are shared by the four of us.
When in Mactan, make sure you try Sutukil. It is certainly something to go back for in Cebu.
Spread some awesome..ness..
