Anyone who wants to experience the high life without going out of the Philippines should simply board on a Zest Air plane, head on to Marinduque, and spend at least the weekend at Bellarocca. Going to Bellarocca is going on a luxurious trip. You will really spend a lot of money to stay and eat at this resort but for me, every peso we spent was worth it. It is by far the best resort I have stayed in, among all the trips I had around the Philippines.

If there was a question “if you were stuck on an island, what island would that be?”, I would definitely answer Bellarocca as long as I have an unlimited stash of cash. :)

Making its guests feel like VIPs is what Bellarocca is all about. From the moment we stepped out of the plane in Marinduque airport, Bellarocca’s team of trained bellmen and bellwomen started taking care of us. The word “hassle” does not exist for every Bellarocca guest.

When we arrived in Marinduque airport, their crew is already waiting for us. They lead us to the van that will take us to Bellarocca Marina. It was a 30-minute drive from the airport to the marina. The seats of the van were really cozy. There are single seats that looks like the ones you sit on in the movie house. While on the van, they handed each of us with a scented cold towel and a bottle of mineral water to refresh ourselves with. We did not even need to wait for our check-in luggage from the plane because they took care of that and they said that our stuff will be delivered in the room where we will be staying in Bellarocca. No carrying of heavy luggage for us.

From the marina, we had to take a 5-minute rubber boat ride to get to Bellarocca. When we arrived in the island, some of their crew members are waiting for us while singing a welcome song. Some were tossing flower petals in the air as we got off the rubber boats. They even gave each of us handmade flower necklace as a form of welcoming us.

Then, they took us to the lobby by riding one of their golf cars. Actually, golf cars are the only mode of transportation around the island aside from walking.

At the lobby, we were asked to fill out registration forms individually. They handed us with cold towels again and some welcome drinks. After a few welcome message and brief orientation about the resort from the manager, they brought us to our room.

We stayed at the Terraza, room 305. It has two rooms where the basement room has one large bed and the top floor room has a two separate beds. Both rooms have Sony Plasma televisions and TV satellite service is provided. However, there were only a few channels on the TV probably because the reception is not that good yet. Both rooms also have home theater satellite speaker systems and iPod compact Hi-Fi systems. Both rooms have internet connection. The basement bathroom has a bath tub and it is one of my favorite place indoors. Room service can be requested via Skype phone.

Our room has a great view of the sea and Mt. Malindig. Waking it up to this, I can stay here forever.

On our first day of stay in Bellarocca, we availed of the complimentary tour of the entire resort. We had the chance to see the different rooms and amenities.

Then, we checked out the seaside area where the seaside infinity pool and the marina can be found. Bellarocca’s security outpost is also located near this area since this is the main entrance and exit point of the island.

Honestly, I have no bad observation regarding Bellarocca. You really get what you pay for when you stay in this resort. All of their facilities are at top condition, the room we stayed in is very cozy, and all staff are really accommodating. I really appreciate even the small things that they did to make as very comfortable like not letting us carry our luggage, holding the door for us, and trying their best to grant all our requests. I definitely look forward to having that money again to splurge on this place. It is pampering at its best. :)

Spread some awesome..ness.. :D

I have read about this place in another blog. Mahal dito. The photos convinced me lalo that the place is too high-end for regular travelers. Lalo na sa backpackers.

Ang alam ko Bellarocca is the Santorini of the Philippines since halos parehas sila ng hitsura especially when read on a magazine. I hope magkaroon ng promo na all-expenses paid para makapunta din ako. :D
