Han-Gang River Cruise in South Korea
Budget : ~Php620 for the entrance ticket
Duration : ~1-2 hours, night time is perfect
Bummers : chance of getting wet, singer on-board serenades in Korean language
If you want to see the beautiful scenery of Seoul from another perspective, taking the Han-Gang River Cruise is the best way to explore Seoul through the waters. This river cruise costs 15,000 Won for the Live Concert Cruise. It is best to take the river cruise at night time because you will be amused of the playful lights of Seoul’s skyscrapers and the beautiful fountain of Banpo Bridge.
There are 6 river cruises in Han-Gang River and they vary from regular cruise, live concert cruise, magic show cruise, and dinner buffer cruise. Of course, as more is offered in the cruise, the price of the river cruise increases. We decided to take the live concert cruise to experience being serenaded while riding on the Han-Gang River. I kind’a expected the singer to do it in Korean because more locals are riding the cruise than foreigners but I hoped he did not so we would understand the songs. Anyway, the melody was good though I did not understand the lyrics. Also, he sang a few English songs at the start.
The view of Seoul at night is simply awesome. Any angle you take a picture of comes out looking like a great desktop wallpaper. Well, as long as it is not blurry.
The river cruise lead us to see the Han-Gang River Twin Bridges. According to the tour guide, there was only one bridge before but since traffic increased, they had to find a way to cater to this. Thus, another bridge which is a copy of the first bridge was created beside it.
The highlight of the river cruise was the Fountain of Banpo Bridge. It is a bridge that blows out water while lights dance behind it. This is called the Moonlight Rainbow Fountain.
I think the Han-Gang River Cruise is a perfect date getaway. It feels so romantic. I wished I had someone to share it with.
Spread some awesome..ness..

For the price, that’s one heck of a decent ‘touristy’ thing to do!
