If you plan to visit South Korea, shopping should be in your itinerary. From low-end to high-end products, you can find everything you want. Myeong-dong is popular for being the high-end shopping district in Seoul. On the other hand, Dongdaemun Market is the low-end shopping area which can be compared to a clean, neat, and organized version of Divisoria in Manila.

Fashion is what defines these shopping markets. You can find stuff like clothes, shoes, bags, and beauty products in almost every corner of Myeong-dong and Dongdaemun. Most stores love offering giveaways such that you can get free stuff just by going in the stores.

If you plan on buying branded products, Myeong-dong is the shopping area you should go to. Different popular clothing and beauty product brands can be found in this area. In the afternoon until night time, various carts open up in the center of Myeong-dong that sells cheap products.

Food is also readily available when shopping in Myeong-dong. The well-loved Mcdonald’s can be found at the center of Myeong-dong. We ate in this resto once because I read in a magazine before that in order to identify the cost of living in a foreign land, try eating a meal at Mcdonald’s. The price in Mcdonald’s in South Korea is reasonable and comparatively close to the price in the Philippines. My favorite coffee shop, the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, can also be found in Myeong-dong.

If you want to buy souvenirs when you visit South Korea, I highly recommend that you go to Dongdaemun Market. This shopping market has shops that sell souvenir shirts and different trinkets that you can give to your family and friends when you get back from South Korea.

Based on the usual comparison I do to check cost of living, it isn’t that different from the Philippines. If you plan on traveling their, the cost of food and rent are quite reasonable.

Hmm it seems like your website ate my first comment
(it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any tips and hints for rookie blog writers? I’d certainly appreciate it.
