Nong Nooch Garden is deemed as the largest and most awesome botanical garden in Southeast Asia. It is also known for its amazing Thai Cultural and Elephant Shows. If you want to enjoy Nong Nooch, I suggest that you come in the morning. We weren’t able to watch the shows because we arrived around 5 PM – just an hour shy of closing time. :(

Nong Nooch is well-maintained and continuously developed. The plants and flowers are properly designed and trimmed. Nong Nooch is committed to preserve the largest collection of palms and orchids in Thailand. The flowers that I have seen in Nong Nooch makes me feel like I am in a flower plantation in Holland, which I just see in some books or encyclopedia when I was young.

Even the rocks and boulders in Nong Nooch are properly arranged.

Aside from plants and flowers, there are many animals in Nong Nooch Garden. I have seen an elephant, tiger, birds, and different fishes in giant aquariums. I also saw a turtle.

Oh, what is an arapaima? I have no idea what it is. With the word giant before it and “feed the”, it’s kind’a scary.. What will we use to feed it? Lol.

In Nong Nooch, Isabel and Pamela experienced riding a helicopter and a car with a busted tire.

Though we only had an hour to roam around Nong Nooch, I had fun!

When we went there, we hired a cab that drove us from Bangkok and then around Pattaya. The cab drivers are pretty nice based from experience. I can’t remember the exact amount we paid for but I think it’s around 3000 THB. There were 5 of us who went. If you enjoy seeing animals, watching shows, and a little carnival-like fair then a whole day might be enough. I suggest you go in the morning so you get to watch the shows. :)
