At 9 AM today, J. Co Donuts and Coffee opened its first store in the Philippine shore. It’s first branch is located at Mega Strip B in SM Megamall, along Julia Vargas St.. It’s cozy shop is located between Seattle’s Best and Mang Inasal.

 

The store is not difficult to find. There is this orange vibe that will lead you to it.

 

J. Co Donuts & Coffee is an international cafe that began in Indonesia and is continuously growing in different parts of the globe. It provides various products that are made using only the finest ingredients from all parts of the world. Their donuts are made using Belgian Chocolate and are topped with California almonds. Their beverages use only the finest blends of Japanese matcha green tea and Italian coffee.

 

As promised, J. Co gave out free treats to its first 200 customers. At exactly 9 AM, they opened their doors to customers who are already in line outside. Yeah, they were on time in opening the store. I was there at around 8:30 AM and kept looking at my watch. Not a minute was wasted for  J. Co to share its treats to us. The more awesome part is, no purchase was required to get the free treat. They gave away boxes of J. Pops, which are known as J. Co’s baby donuts.

 

 

When I arrived at J. Co there are already quite a number of people waiting for the store to open. Still, I went in line and tried my luck to be one of the first people who gets to enter the store. And maybe get a free box of J.Pops.

Aw, there I was. I was fortunate to be  part of the first 200 customers who enjoyed different flavors of J. Co’s baby donuts. It’s great I also dragged my bro and my friend with me.

 

 

The J. Pops are composed of J. Co’s top 12 best-selling variants. They are served in a 24-pc box. If they weren’t free, the J. Pops would cost Php 250 per box (which is 2 dozen). Not bad..

 

 

Since my bro and I wanted to try their frappes, we waited a while for the coffee bar to open. They were tweaking a few things during the opening so we sat for a while and waited for it to open. Anyway, my bro was enjoy the J. Pops so he didn’t mind waiting a bit.

 

 

My bro opened one of our two boxes of free J. Pops and started munching on them like peanuts. He kept on saying this is the last one but never stopped eating until only half of the box was left.

 

 

I guess he was thinking here, “I wish these bad boys were bigger!” LOL.

 

 

When the coffee bar was opened, I immediately stood up and order frappes for us. I wanted to try the beverages that have yogurt but they weren’t available yet. So, I ordered the Chocomint Frappe (Php 135/150) and Choco Forest Frappe (Php 135/150).

 

 

I had the Chocomint Frappe and it was cool within a cool. Its a cold drink and the mint in it made it way cooler. It was topped with customized choco caviar. All the while, I thought that caviar was only from fish. Never thought there was better form of caviar.

 

 

My bro had the Choco Forest Frappe. I think it’s J. Co’s concoction of Black Forest in a drink.

I am definitely coming back to try more of their donuts, probably the bigger ones. I will also try more beverages especially the ones with yogurt when it becomes available. And most of all, I will come back because J. Co is full of love.
