The T Hotel in Hong Kong
Duration : duration of your trip
Bummers : none
After 4 days of stay at HK Tai San Guest House in Tsim Sha Tsui, we transferred to an awesome hotel by the suburbs near the Pokfulam Village in the western part of Hong Kong Island. The T Hotel is known for being a Training Hotel where many students have hands-on training in the field of hospitality and tourism. But more than a training hotel, the T Hotel is known to its clients for being a great place to stay in Hong Kong if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
It was a great decision for me to transfer at T Hotel not only because it is a “wow-I-am-speechless” kind of hotel but because the second half of our 1-week vacation in Hong Kong will be spent touring Hong Kong Island and Macao. The first half was spent in Lantau Island (Ngong Ping 360 and HK Disneyland), and Kowloon Island(all shopping and foodie stuff).
Upon arriving at the T Hotel, we were brought to the reception area at the Ground Floor.
The appearance of the reception area already wowed me. I cannot wait to see our rooms.
We arrived at the T Hotel at around 11:30 AM. Though the check-in time was still at 3 PM, they already entertained us, checked our booking, verified our passports, and told us that our rooms will be ready in 30 minutes.
After verification and obtaining my credit card info, they brought us to the 6th Floor. The 6th Floor of the building is the only space occupied by rooms of the hotel. The T Hotel has 27 modern guest rooms and 3 ocean view suites. Among the 27 modern guest rooms, 21 are ocean view while the remaining 6 rooms are mountain view. I think the ocean view rooms are more awesome so if you decide to stay at the T Hotel, get those rooms.
We were told to wait by the lounge at the 6th Floor. Everything is just elegant in this hotel. It keeps on getting me astonished with its appearance.
Near the lounge area was the dining area. For the following days, this is where we had our breakfast. Our stay in T Hotel included daily breakfast buffet so we always started our next days having coffee and some food in this area. However, I wished the food has more variety because after 3 days of having almost the same options daily, you lose the enthusiasm to eat breakfast
On one side, you can go out the deck to see the view of various skyscrapers and the South China Sea.
My bro had a great time having a photo op on this deck. Well, it was a really great spot anyway..
Shortly after getting mesmerized with the view, we were brought to our room.
Our room was pretty rad! Soft and thick sheets on the bed. There was even a pillow menu which up to now I have no idea what it is for. There was a large window that gives a view of the ocean. I think that is the perfect view that you can wake up or go to sleep to. In the morning, the ocean is so bright which starts your day right. At night, it is filled with twinkling lights from skyscrapers and boats passing by.
The bathroom was also super nice. It has a shower that sprinkles water like rain. There was a phone by the throne.
The tub is pointed towards a television that you can operate using a waterproof remote control. I tried and tested the remote control, it was really waterproof. At night, rubber toys magically appear by the tub that you can play around while taking a dip on the tub. After our stay, I had 3 rubber toys – a turtle, a seahorse, and an alligator. I brought all of them home in the Philippines.
The bath essentials are complete from soap, liquid soap, shampoo, and lotion. There’s even a shaving kit and a sewing kit. These are replenished daily.
Our fridge is packed with water, juice, soda, beer, and even wine at really affordable prices. This is probably one of the hotels with the lowest minibar costs. So, I decided to try Hong Kong’s local beer – Tsingtao, directly from our fridge.
Aside from cleaning our room daily, they also put a bucket of ice and a plate of chocolate every night in our room. After a long and tiring day going around Hong Kong Island, it’s fun to have this little things given to you.
The amenities and service at the T Hotel is really awesome. We just had a slight problem on the language barrier with the students serving us during breakfast but I know they are going to improve that in no time. The T Hotel is a place where you can relax and bask in the elegance of the suburbs. It is a great place to stay especially if you’re dreaming of a view of the ocean in the morning or at night. But if you plan to roam around the city especially the Kowloon area, staying in this Hotel might require a pretty long travel.

hi, thanks for this awesome blog post!
i’ve been reading the reviews on tripadvisor and haven’t seen any reviews by fellow Pinoys.
just to clarify, estimate cost would be approximately HKD1,380 per room per night for 2?
we’re planning to visit around first week of March next year. thanks!
@Beth
Yup! That’s what we paid for per room. It’s a great hotel to stay, they really take care of you. Hong Kong is a great place! Enjoy your visit..
i emailed them already but they don’t have rates for march next year yet.
i was just wondering how you got around? is it easy to commute to and from kowloon?
is there a MTR station near by? how is the convenience level for you? appreciate your advice. thanks
@Beth
Honestly, the location is a bit far from shopping centers etc but I didn’t mind because I was really looking for a serene place to stay.
Unfortunately, there is no nearby MTR station at T-Hotel. You can ride buses because there is a bus stop right outside the hotel. You can also try asking them for service to the MTR Central Station. Worst case scenario but for utmost convenience, you can always take a cab.
Hi! Happy to see this blog. I made a reservation for our wedding anniversary this Dec for 4 nights, excited but I was a little bit torn about the place because we wanted to go to Disneyland and kowloon area. Pero how much is the average fare from/to hotel? Sana you can help me on this. By the way, is HKD 1,380 is good for 2 or 3? Also is it near Victoria Peak ba? Thanks!
