It is a great pleasure to get invited to check out the awesome rooms, food, and service of Acacia Hotel Manila. Even from the outside looking in, it seems that nothing but the best awaits their guests. So one weekend, we drove off to Alabang for an overnight stay at this 7-month old but already buzz-worthy modern hotel in the South.
Acacia Hotel Manila really knows how to treat their guests well. Check-in was a breeze, it took no more than 5 minutes and we were already on our way to our room. Mr. Lloyd from the concierge and Mr. Stanley, the duty manager, brought and introduced us to our room. They taught us the basic stuff like using the DND button (an innovation in modern hotels that I really appreciate), connecting to the hotel’s quick Wi-Fi service, and enjoying what the fully-stocked minibar has to offer. Nothing says “Welcome Home” best but a slice of cake and a plateful of ready to gobble fruits.
Inside the hotel room, it really felt like home. I noticed a personal welcome note and I was amazed with the picture frame on one table containing some old pictures. Up to now, I am still amazed how they found those old photos.
The Junior Suite – Our Room
We were given a Junior Suite. It is spacious corner room that has giant windows to show a picturesque view of the city. Looking out the window at night reminds me of the empty and serene intersection in my hotel room when I was on a one-week vacation in Singapore. The Junior Suite has a king-sized bed and across it is a cozy living area. There were 3 of us who stayed over that night and we were still so comfortable in our suite.
The toilet and bath is very spacious and fully-featured as well. It has a shower area that is in a glass enclosure and a squeaky clean hot tub. The vanity area is complete with all the basic toiletries branded specially for Acacia Hotel Manila.
Communication and actual room service is very efficient. Just dial 0 (zero) and they will immediately be at your service. If you want to dine at the comforts of your own room, check out Acacia Hotel Manila’s In-Room Dining Menu.
The Lobby
The Lobby, or Acacia Hotel Manila’s main lobby, is a great venue to wine and dine with family and friends. It offers great food selections, and a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The Lobby has a sleek interior perfect to have few glasses of wine or a cup of coffee while catching up with some of the closest people in your life.
Acaci
Acaci is the go-to restaurant at Acacia Hotel Manila if you want to binge on scrumptious dishes because it offers breakfast, lunch, or dinner buffet. But if you are not into unlimited food indulgement, Acaci also offers a Pan-Asian ala carte menu that will certainly captivate your taste buds.
Samanea
Samanea is an Al fresco dining area near the hotel’s swimming pool area where you can request for your meal to be set up. Usually, guests have breakfast here so that they can enjoy their meal under the clear, blue sky. An intimate dinner can also be set up in Samanea since it is also well-lit at night.
Swimming Pool and Jacuzzi
At the 3rd floor of Acacia Hotel Manila, you can find the open/roofless area for the swimming pool and jacuzzi. There is a kiddie pool and an adult pool. The adult pool is only 5 feet deep all throughout. There is a pool attendant who is always on stand-by and ready to assist you especially in operating the jacuzzi. The swimming pool and jacuzzi area is open until 10 PM.
To be more relaxed than we already are, we gave the jacuzzi a whirl. The jacuzzi was pretty hot, around 42-degrees hot.
Fitness Center
For health buffs, Acacia Hotel Manila has an in-house fitness that you can use at your convenience. At present, the fitness center is not yet functional but they have a tie-up with the nearby Gold’s Gym where they can hook you up if you want to. I was informed that the fitness center will be opened within the month of June. Once opened, it will be easier for health buffs to break into a sweat.
In-Room Massage
Acacia Hotel Manila really took good care of us. Aside from providing high-end accommodation, they even scheduled a complimentary 1-hour in-room massage for my Mom. She was really happy about it.
We truly enjoyed our overnight stay at Acacia Hotel Manila. Even the check out was quick – no queues, no hassles, and no long waiting time. To Acacia Hotel Manila and all their crew, I cannot thank you enough for making our stay a really special one. Thanks for the complimentary check out blueberry cupcakes as well. And special thanks to Ms. Mae Ilagan for the hook up. Virtual fist bump to all!
If you are looking for an awesome hotel to stay in the south, I recommend that you take a look at what Acacia Hotel Manila can offer. Trouble-free, homey, and definitely 5-star in everything that they do.
