Albert Court Village Hotel Day Tour
At heart of Little India, you can find a quaint but fascinating structure, which is Albert Court Village Hotel. As a Filipino walking around the periphery of Albert Court Village Hotel, it gives me an Intramuros or Vigan-like vibe especially with its brick flooring and antique design of the windowpanes.
This hotel is considered as the boutique hotel under the Far East Hospitality Group. A lot of potential can be seen on this hotel as it offers a space that can be turned into an outdoor dining area surrounded by stores bringing flavors from all over the world. It magically presents history with its refurbished but properly maintained structure and adds a hint of European boutique appeal.
Albert Court Village Hotel has a design fusion where East meets West with a sprinkle of Penarakan Chinese heritage feel. Bamboos indoors, why not?
This can be seen in various ornaments inside and outside the hotel. Sometimes the decor can be confusing but I think instead of continuity, it tries to achieve a modern and innovative appearance in an attractively old-fashioned structure.
Albert Court Village Hotel also exudes the Little India vibe. With its colorful interiors and red highlights in almost every part of the hotel, there is certainly a touch of elegance wherever you look.
Albert Court Village Hotel may not have a swimming pool but it has two large common tubs that guests can use. One is hot and the other one is cold.
Had a chance to catch a peek of one of Albert Court’s Executive Rooms. You can see here that there are some Village Cluster bloggers who were also shooting from all corners of the room.
Albert Court Village Hotel has 210 rooms and suites. It was opened in 1994, making sure that everything was restored from the old pre-war shop houses to preserve the building’s heritage. Heritage preservation is the reason why Albert Court Village Hotel doesn’t have a swimming pool inside the hotel.
If you want to stay in a hotel that shows off a bit history in combination with contemporary service and that is near the city (Little India MRT station), then Albert Court Village Hotel can be a considerable option. However, I was not able to personally check in to the hotel so if you have, feel free to share your experiences in the comments section.
