While searching for a new dessert after having dinner in Eastwood City, me and my good friend Basti decided to pay Gigi Coffee & Cupcakes a visit. Located at the old spot of Gloria Jeans Coffee near the main entrance of Eastwood City, Gigi is a brand new cupcake house that is trying to win the hearts of the cupcake-loving market with their innovative sweet treats.
Named from the baking goddess that creates this heavenly treats on a daily basis, Gigi Gaerlan is not a newbie in this turf. If you have already come across the gooey custaroons, you have probably heard of Gigi. I haven’t tried custaroons but after having a bite of these cupcakes, I think she’s a cupcake genius.
Six Cupcakes We Devoured
During our visit, there were six different cupcakes variants so we decided to try them all. The flavors are (L-R, Top-Bottom in the image above) Peanut Butter, Red Velvet, Chili Chocolate, Cherry, Chocolate, and White Chocolate. After a quick chat with the co-owner Patrick Gaerlan, we found out that aside from the usual flavors that are available daily, other cupcake variants are changed on a daily basis. Like on this day, I missed the Bacon Chocolate cupcake!

At one side of Gigi, you can find juices and some savory products like sandwiches and bread rolls that probably have delicious fillings. I better try these ones too.
Juices and Something Savory from Gigi
The interior of Gigi is perfect for what they are selling. It simulates the appearance of a garden, which is a perfect place to have a cup of tea or coffee, and a serving of cupcake. Quite amazing, it has faux grass that makes you feel like you are outdoors even if you are indoors. The only thing missing is the sun. At one side of the store, there are more seats in raised chairs.
