Yabu’s 2nd is at Robinson’s Magnolia
It’s really sweeter the second time around. Yabu: The House of Katsu opens its second restaurant at the newly opened super chic mall known as Robinson’s Magnolia. It was a great opportunity to get first bite at their katsus in their second home, and be part of the media launch/pre-opening party filled with overflowing katsu and sake.

Along with the management of Yabu, celebrities, and bloggers, we all raised our sake glasses and wished Yabu to fill more tummies with crunchy and tasty katsu on this side of the city.

Yabu is overflowing with sake. And Yabu is fun inside and out. Not only because of the food but also because of the awesome guys who prepare them. Can you spot the photobombers?

The pre-opening party was really exclusive and it really feels awesome to be part of the guest list. Once seated, menu was given and since the Grand Opening was the day after, a specific menu was laid out for the pre-opening party.

I am no stranger to Yabu so seeing this on my table made me smile. Yeah, I am really here at the pre-opening party. Yup, this is true. And here in front of me are the sauces and dressings I can use to make my katsu meal more interesting.
Add More Flavor
I wanted to try their curry dish so I got the Rosu Katsu Curry Set. While waiting for my katsu curry, a nifty box containing appetizers was served on my table. It contained two bowls of Potato/Egg Salad. I liked this because I think there is a hint of wasabi on the dressing. Spectacular flavor on such a simple dish.

Soon my Rosu Katsu Curry Set arrived. Some don’t admire it that much, some do. I think something striking and bold such as this is good to leave you wanting for more Yabu.
