Travel, Eat, Experience, and Get Out More!
I was sitting on my personal nook in the office when it suddenly hit me. Life is not about staying inside a box, there’s a lot of staying inside the box after life, so it’s time to live it and get out more. Since that time, I have been traveling in and out of the country experiencing culture and food, getting mesmerized with the beauty of nature, and meeting new people who certainly left a mark in me. No regrets so far.
Some of my favorite trips in the country are the ones I had in Puerto Princesa, Marinduque (where Bellarocca is), and of course, Boracay.
The seafood in Palawan is unbelievably cheap and super fresh. Where else can you buy a PhP250 per kilo of live crab and they’d even cook it for you? The Puerto Princesa Underground River (PPUR), one of the Seven Wonders of Nature, is also another reason why I love Palawan. And it truly lives up to its name of being the cleanest and greenest city in the country.
My trip in Bellarocca, located in the province of Marinduque, is like a dream come true. Santorini has always been my dream destination and Bellarocca made it feel like achieving that dream without flying to Greece. This luxury island resort is a great place for a solemn travel. If you want to do some soul-searching, this is definitely a great place to reflect. However, it’s beauty comes with a hefty price tag.
Filipinos have super high standards for beaches and that’s because of Boracay. So before you go out scouring the world for awesome beaches, you should definitely see Boracay first. White powdery sand, blue water, and a clear sky spells out perfect summer in Boracay. I have been in this place twice now and the count does not stop there. I would definitely get out more to see Boracay again soon.
Outside the country, I will never forget my trips in South Korea, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
When I was in South Korea, we went mostly around shopping spots and amusement parks. We were only there over the weekend so our time was very limited. We went to Myeongdong and Dongdaemun for shopping; Everland, Seoul Tower, Teddy Bear Museum, and Hang-Gang River for amusement. It was my first trip outside the country so I was truly amazed with the time difference, the culture, and the food. I’ll be coming back to South Korea at the end of the year hoping to explore more of its rich culture.
I have been to Singapore twice. My first time was to explore this small and super disciplined country while my second time was to attend the Singapore Blog Awards, meet fellow bloggers, and see the Supertrees. Both times were awesome!
Aside from Disneyland, for me Hong Kong is all about food. Dim sums and noodles are my favorite things that are extremely widespread in Hong Kong. In this trip, I had my first time to try a Michelin Star restaurant (Tim Ho Wan). The experience was really nice despite the need to queue and stand outside the restaurant for a couple of hours because it is slammed. I even looked for another Michelin Star restaurant to try after that and it was a success (One Dim Sum).
A lot of first times. A lot of experiences. A lot of new friends. A lot of things I want to go back and try again.
As most travelers say, “Travel is the only thing that you can buy that makes you richer.” I am not stopping any time soon and I hope you guys don’t too. If you haven’t started yet, it’s never too late.
Travel, eat, experience the world, get out more, and..
Spread some awesome..ness..

I’m envious! I just started traveling this year, but I want to explore more places next year.
Wow! The Philippines really looks beautiful. I will visit you someday.
