A humble area near the plaza of Rosario in Batangas turns into a bustling food haven every night. I spent one weekend in Rosario to beach hop in Laiya and was fortunate to experience their street food. Their street food is similar to the street foods that I am familiar with like the barbecued goodies, fried stuff, and cold fruit refreshments.

If you’re driving along the highway of Lipa City in Batangas, you will certainly notice this Chinese resto along the way. Hap Chan or Hap Chan Tea House to many is a popular Chinese restaurant with lots of branches in the city. I guess the love of people for Chinese dishes has opened an opportunity for Hap Chan to penetrate the Batangueño market.

 

Many times, I have already professed my love for Chinese food. From the hole in the wall Chinese restaurants in Binondo to my personal favorite Mann Hann and the newly-opened contemporary Chinese in P.F. Chang’s, all of these food spots are in my heart.
