Clucky’s in Rockwell Business Center

August 30th, 2012 2 comments

In partnership with one of USA’s top Korean fried chicken brand known as Mad for Chicken, Clucky’s has recently opened its doors in one of the towers of Rockwell Business Center. With it’s orange theme, Clucky’s offers a distinct ambiance that sets it apart from your usual chicken joint. It takes pride in serving chicken coated with and made for tastier by the Mad for Chicken sauce, which uses authentic Korean ingredients in concocting such.

It was a fortunate opportunity to get invited to try the popular dishes of Clucky’s. With a few of my fellow foodies, Clucky’s introduced us to a restaurant that specialize on Korean fried chicken and also other Korean dishes such as kimchi rice and bulgogi rice.

It was an intimate bloggers’ dinner, and what better way to whet our appetites but to serve as with light and hearty salads. We started out trying the House Salad (PhP 119) and Spicy Crabmeat Salad (PhP 159).

The house salad is a party of grapes and ripe mangoes that lie on top of a bed of sliced and diced lettuce. It is drizzled with vinaigrette-like dressing. The spicy crabmeat salad has perfectly seasoned and well-plated crabmeat on a bed of lettuce.

If you are searching for the best wings in the metro, you should not miss the different flavors of wings at Sunrise Buckets. I will try to come up with a story where the name came from. Sunrise, maybe because you can stay there until the sun rises. The resto looks like a cool hangout spot to drink beer, gobble chicken wings, and chill with friends. Buckets, possibly because the wings are served in metal buckets. But hey, remember this just came from me.. Ah, should have asked them.

Though I don’t frequent Greenhills area (because I am not a fan of large crowds of people so I frequent Eastwood City and BGC), Sunrise Buckets is not difficult to find. It is a few blocks away from Greenhills Shopping Center – a popular destination for cheap gadgets and apparels. While on the road, you can easily spot the large sign saying “Sunrise Buckets”, so you’ll definitely NOT get lost.

Inside Sunrise Buckets

Sunrise Buckets has a cozy atmosphere – providing a relaxing illusion that you are by the beach with ice cold beer in one hand and flavorful chicken wing on the other. It is decorated with lots of colorful surfboards and out front is an area where you can pose riding a wave and quickly snap a photo.

Sunrise Buckets is probably a beer haven to its patrons. It has local and some imported beers. It also has a mean rootbeer they use for their rootbeer float. In the following image, spot which doesn’t belong on the shelf.
