Clucky’s in Rockwell Business Center

August 30th, 2012 2 comments

In partnership with one of USA’s top Korean fried chicken brand known as Mad for Chicken, Clucky’s has recently opened its doors in one of the towers of Rockwell Business Center. With it’s orange theme, Clucky’s offers a distinct ambiance that sets it apart from your usual chicken joint. It takes pride in serving chicken coated with and made for tastier by the Mad for Chicken sauce, which uses authentic Korean ingredients in concocting such.

It was a fortunate opportunity to get invited to try the popular dishes of Clucky’s. With a few of my fellow foodies, Clucky’s introduced us to a restaurant that specialize on Korean fried chicken and also other Korean dishes such as kimchi rice and bulgogi rice.

It was an intimate bloggers’ dinner, and what better way to whet our appetites but to serve as with light and hearty salads. We started out trying the House Salad (PhP 119) and Spicy Crabmeat Salad (PhP 159).

The house salad is a party of grapes and ripe mangoes that lie on top of a bed of sliced and diced lettuce. It is drizzled with vinaigrette-like dressing. The spicy crabmeat salad has perfectly seasoned and well-plated crabmeat on a bed of lettuce.

BonChon

All these time, I have been eating BonChon wrong. Maybe that is why I did not enjoy it the first time I tried it. But after seeing BonChon’s owner Mr. Scott Tan do it the proper way, I will definitely appreciate the experience and the taste more by doing the right way of eating this Original Korean Crispy Chicken.

Just the Bones

BonChon’s chicken is designed to be eaten with bare hands and get the most with a single bite. Whatever part you choose – wings, chops, thighs, drumsticks, or any combination of these, you can certainly get the most with just one bite. We don’t need to use utensils or separate the skin from the meat like we used to to appreciate the flavor of this chicken.
