Yellow Cab Pizza recently took the wraps off its latest chicken wing and potato wedge combo that aims to capture the hearts and stomachs of many – the Galapeño Tango. A looming craze, Galapeño Tango is a match made in heaven between Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings and Jalapeño Potato Wedges. Both are something new offered by this highly sought after thin crust pizza company.

The Heart of Galapeño Tango – Parmesan Chicken Wings and Dip

For PhP 345, you can get the Galapeño Tango with 4 pieces of chicken wings and a serving of potato wedges but if you want more, you can opt for the PhP 480 pack for 6 pieces of wings or the PhP 880 box for a dozen. If you want to order the wings and wedges, you can also do so. The wings sell at Php 255 for 4 pieces, Php 370 for half a dozen and PhP 730 for a dozen. The Jalapeño Potato Wedges are priced at PhP 165 ala carte.

Tucked in the modest neighborhood of Calumpang, Marikina, Cafe Lidia, is a rustic trattoria that is often packed during lunch or dinner. Despite its location, you can usually see a long line of cars parked outside this resto, with people calmly waiting to be seated and have a bite of anything on their menu.

Creating a buzz in the foodie world since time in memorial, Cafe Lidia has been on my list of restaurants to visit in Marikina for a long time. Unplanned gimiks are the ones that really push through, and one night after a few exchanges of message via Skype, we decided to check out Cafe Lidia.

It was a Monday night and it was far from payday, so I was hoping that there will be no long queues during our visit. But, wish was not granted. We had to wait for about 15 minutes until a table for five became available.

We were immediately taken care of by our waiter. He gave us the menu and attentively took our orders. We asked a few questions from time to time since it was our first time at Cafe Lidia and he was nice enough fill us with the details. He talked to us courteously but in a personal level as if he was hosting his newly found best friends.
