Rack’s won’t be called “Best Ribs in Town” for nothing. Even if they were the ones who tagged it to themselves, we kind’a agree that it’s true. We have dined at Rack’s a lot of times even before this blog has started. It is one of our favorites when it comes to fall-off-the-bone and melt-in-your-mouth ribs. Dip the tender meat on their in-house blend of bbq sauce and you are in ribs heaven.

Rack’s Beef Ribs cost at Php 365 (quarter rack), Php 600 (half rack), or Php 970 (full rack). You can choose the free sides that can come with your short ribs. We recommend some mashed potatoes. Ribs and potatoes are a match made in heaven.

We agreed that this rack of short ribs is one of the most beautiful things we have seen in our entire lives. And munching and gobbling these juicy ribs is the best experience.

TIPS: Top Foods You Should Try at Vikings

February 28th, 2012 1 comment

Vikings offers a wide array of food. From dim sums to makis to canapes, and from lamb shanks to coq au vin (cok-o-van which means rooster with wine, I’m just being classy) to different meat skewers, you can certainly find something that will satisfy your palate. Since it is a common problem that when going to buffet restaurants, some of the awesome foods are missed because of the desire to try everything else, here is a rough guide of the food that you shouldn’t miss when dining at Vikings. But remember, my basis is my own palate but I hope we share the same taste.

My favorite among all the food that I have tasted in Vikings is the Baked Oyster with Cheese. I think many will agree with me on this since the serving tray is always empty a few seconds after it has been refilled. The oysters are really tasty – like exploding flavors of the sea in your mouth. And the melted cheese on top of the oysters are so creamy, which adds richness to the dish.
